Alquiler de Bicicletas Argentina/ Bicycle Rental in Argentina

Un amigo de la universidad me facilitó estas imágenes de cuando estuvo estudiando un semestre en Argentina. Me atrevo a decir que las bicicletas anaranjadas son las mismas que las amarillas de aqui de Rent The Bicycle, son bien parecidas y tienen los mismos canastos, estas también son de un alquiler en Argentina, no tengo su nombre pero tan pronto lo tenga, lo añado al post. Creo que hace un buen trabajo de bici-moda masculino. / A friend of mine sent me these pictures of when he was studying in Argentina. I'm pretty sure the orange bikes over there are the same one from Rent the Bicycle here in Puerto Rico, they also belong to a bicycle rental, they have the same frame and basket. I don't have their name, but as soon as I find it, I'll add it to this post. I think it's a great example of male cycle chic.

Encontré estas imagenes buscando relleno para una revista que estoy haciendo para una clase, sobre bicicletas y moda, la de Lacoste, hasta donde tengo entendido es de este año y la de diesel no tengo conocimiento./ I recently found these images looking for fill material for a magazine I'm doing in one of my classes about cycling & fashion and what not, I understand the Lacoste Ad is from this very year and I have no clue about when the diesel one came out.

Encontré estás imagenes rebuscando y buscando entre un mar de imagenes que me devolvió google al entrar "cycle chic". La ceremonia fue en California y el novio es Director de Arte para OdysseyBMX, por ende, las bicicletas en la ceremonia./ I found these images ina plethora of other images google gave me when I entered "cycle chic" in the search box. The ceremony was held in California and the groom is Art Director of OdysseyBMX, hence the bikes during the ceremony.

Ok, no me he olvidado por completo de este blog, solo que he estado un poco ocupada con la universidad (es mi último semestre :D!), y si esto mejora algo, uno de mis trabajos consiste en crear una revista, y adivinen de que se trata la revista...Bici-Moda. De todas maneras esta imagen me la envío el W-Lo (gran contribuyente al blog) es de una actriz española, Carlota Olcina. / I know it looks like I've forgotten about this blog, but not true, I've been caught up with my last semester at my university. If it makes anything better, one of my projects consists of making a magazine, "of what?" you ask?...well Cycle Chic, silly. Anyways my friend, W-Lo (a great contributor to this blog) sent me this picture today, she's a spanish actress, Carlota Olcina.

Me propuse a rebuscar entre el mar de fotografías de una de las mejores fotógrafas, ex-modelo, de moda, Ellen Von Unwerth, en búsqueda de imágenes que tuvieran bicicletas, hasta ahora esto es lo que he encontrado aunque estoy más que segura de que hay más./ I decided to sit down and look through all the photographs of one of the best fashion photographers/ ex model, Ellen Von Unwerth, with the hope of finding photographs with bicycles, and I found a few, but I'm sure theres more. Corrine Bailey Rae - Put Your Records On

Me alegra que en estos últimos dos días me eh topado con más de 20 personas (no ciclistas profesionales) en sus bicicletas. Ví un hombre en una bicicleta plegable, que nunca pensé iba a ver aquí. Que pena que no llevaba la cámara conmigo. En otras notas les dejo con un video de Corrine Bailey Rae, clima parecido a la de acá, ropa que se puede usar. La música no es mi favorita pero el video lo encuentro encantador con esas imagenes de lo que es el verano. / I'm very glad about the fact that these past couple of days I've spotted more than 20 non performance cyclists on their bikes. I saw this man with a folding bike which I thought I would never see here. It's a shame I didn't have my camera with me. On other notes I'll leave you with a video from Corrine Bailey Rae, the climate can be compared to the island, therefore, clothes we can use ladies. The music, well it's not my favorite but the video is very beautiful in all its summery splendor.

Se que la queja mayor de correr bicicleta aquí, luego de el hecho de que no hay carriles para bicicletas, es el calor. Haciéndose casi imposible vestirse bien, así que me propondré a buscar mas cosas relativas al clima de Puerto Rico (ahí van mis deseos de una corrida "tweed"). / I know that the biggest complaint of bike riding, after the fact that there are no bike lanes, in Puerto Rico is the heat, almost making it impossible to dress well, so I'm trying to find things much more relate-able to the Islands climate (there goes my wishes of a tweed run).

Quiero promover el uso de las bicicletas entre las mujeres de la Isla. Por lo general lo que se ven son hombres, y cuando veo mujeres, casi siempre es de arriba a abajo en lycra, no luce nada atractivo. Se que hace calor, tampoco quiero que corran en trajes de prom o boda pero que se mueva delicadamente. Les dejo con el ejemplo perfecto, Zooey Deschanel posando para un anuncio de Cotton (por cierto leí por algún lugar que esa bicicleta era Elgin). Pendiente al Domingo que viene, daré otro ejemplo. / I want to promote the use of bicycles in women of this Island. Usually I only see men on bikes and when I do see a woman, It's usually a full body suit of lycra, which isn't really fashionable. I mean I know it's hot here, I don't mean go around for a ride in a prom or bridal gown. Just try to keep it delicate. I leave you with the perfect example, Zooey Deschanel for a Cotton Commercial (by the way I read somewhere this beautiful bike was probably an Elgin). Be on the look-out for next Sunday, I have another great example.
